Why We Love Bio Sculpture

Why We Love Bio Sculpture

Let me start with Jade. Jade has been wearing Bio Sculpture gel on her natural nails for more than two years.

She keeps it on for roughly three weeks at time, and somehow her natural nails just keep getting longer, stronger and healthier. Actually, not somehow, we all know it’s because of Bio Sculpture.

What makes this even more impressive to me is that before Bio Sculpture, Jade was doing a combination of regular paint manicure and gel. Her nails were always kept short and neat as once they got to a certain length they always broke at a weak point. Now, she has the longest healthiest natural nails I’ve ever seen her have. This makes her very happy.

Bio Sculpture is a proudly South African brand, and one of the things I love about it is that the focus isn’t simply on making your natural nails look beautiful. Bio Sculpture has a variety of treatment base coats, which can be selected according to what your natural nails need. Whether your nails need a little extra nourishment, strength or support, your nail technician can choose the base coat that’s best suited to you. How amazing is that? It’s almost like having a little treatment for your nails while you’re having your manicure done.

Bio Sculpture can also be used to create structure on the nail. By building a little more strength where your natural nail needs it, we can help protect those weaker areas that tend to bend, split or break. It also what makes your manicures last 2-3weeks.

And I can definitely speak from experience here. I’m a bit of a picker… and we all know that pickers and gel don’t always make the best combination! But somehow, I managed to keep doing Bio Sculpture for 4-5 months and my nails grew. People thought I had nail extensions, when in fact they were just my natural nails growing underneath the gel. It is not only about the beautiful colours but the whole system that works together to give you healthy nails.

The products used throughout the manicure are all part of that same philosophy of caring for the nail. The Vitamin Dose is like a little daily multivitamin for your nails and cuticles, while the cuticle oil helps to nourish and keep the surrounding skin conditioned. And my add, the Vitamin Dose and Cuticle oil can be used at home or your car to further maintain your manicure.

It really makes you look at a manicure slightly differently. You’re not just choosing a colour and having your nails painted. You’re having a customised nail treatment, with the products selected according to what your nails need.

And honestly… who doesn’t love having their nails done? I’m normally do something plain and simple or dark and gloomy. And now my daughter has gotten involved too. Apparently plain and simple isn’t good enough for her because she insists I have French tips, flower nail art designs or leopard-inspired nails! So much for my simple nails. But honestly, I catch myself looking down at them during the day and having those little moments of admiration. It just makes my heart happy.

And here’s one little tip I’ve learnt along the way… Book your next appointment before you leave. We all know how it goes. You leave the salon thinking, I’ll book when I get home. Then life happens.
Suddenly it’s three-and-a-half weeks later, your regrowth is shouting at you, and you’re trying to find an appointment with your favourite nail tech.

Because let’s be honest… when you’ve finally found a nail routine you love, the last thing you want is to spend another week staring at your regrowth waiting for an appointment.

And perhaps that’s what I love most about Bio Sculpture. It’s not just about having pretty nails. It’s about having nails that are healthy, cared for and, of course, making me feel very happy and confident every time I look down at my hands.

And sometimes, that’s all a good manicure needs to do.
